History: How did this site came about? The idea was born way back in 2002, during a conversation between Linda and Marieke when they were toying around with the idea of starting a Dawson's Creek Network of quality fansites. Because there were virtually no good, updated fansites for Dawson's Creek and its actors out there, they realized they'd have to take the initiative to actually build some fansites in order to have a real network. As the network grew, Joshua Jackson Online was shelved (along with Marieke's Katie Holmes fansite) in order to work on other aspects of the site.

In early 2004, Dannie, Jo and Linda again began to become irritated with the sparse number of fansites for Joshua Jackson out there, so the idea to build one themselves was brought to the table. They quickly set to work to gather content, build relationships with other fansite webmasters and bring Joshua Jackson Online back to the light of the living. Three months later, on May 24, 2004, Joshua Jackson Online was finally opened, hosted by the fabulous MediaBlvd and is quickly becoming one of the most comprehensive Josh fansites online.
